We are the Jimmys We like to sing We like to play guitar And bang on things We make an album Each winter and spring And sometimes Jimmy Will wear a fake lip ring We are the Jimmys Do you love us yet? We are a band You will never forget Next we will sing you A duet We are the Jimmys Do you love us yet? Hey guys I’m Jimmy I’m on a mug Come over here And I’ll give you a hug Most of the time I will daydream When I write music Then I like to scream We are the Jimmys Do you love us yet? We are a band You will never forget Next we will sing you A duet We are the Jimmys Do you love us yet? Yo I’m MC Govern I like to rap (not really) We’ll put the Jimmys On the map I ace my tests Who needs to study? And I write songs With all my buddies. We are the Jimmys Do you love us yet? We are a band You will never forget Next we will sing you A duet We are the Jimmys Do you love us yet? Hey guys I’m Claire I play guitar I’m in a band We’re the best by far Let’s sit down And drink some tea And here’s some songs Written by us three We are the Jimmys Do you love us yet? When I saw you Saturday night That curious look in your eye That’s when I knew I might Take a chance with you I knew I had to see you again I hope you say I can All of a sudden you took my hand And I heard you say you love me I couldn’t help but notice the way The way you looked at me I don’t have the words to say But I think I’m falling for you I knew I had to see you again I hope you say I can All of a sudden you took my hand And I heard you say you love me I knew I had to see you again I hope you say I can All of a sudden you took my hand And I heard you say you love me

Star Sailor 04:27
Hey Star Sailor, go Across the endless space And trace out constellations Trailing stardust in your wake Riding on the back of the comets You glide on waves of light Drifting through the milky way And onward through the night Til you fall off The edge Of the universe Hey Star Sailor, swept up by sky Drop anchor on the moon Watch, with stars reflected in your eyes Watch from the bow As they twinkle and die out Then raise the sails And brave the churning, swirling depths of space Voyage through the dark Til you fall off The edge Of the universe

If there’s ever a point Where you feel like you can’t Oh Just remember There’s always someone else who can’t Be happy with who you are Because you are the best If you’re down you’ll never get far That’s only half the test This song is empowering I wrote it while showering And you can do anything 'Cause at some point you've been oppressed Soap may wash into your eyes The water’s falling from the sky The suds will run true Always be true to you If there's soap in your eyes It may sting like the lies That are always holding you back But as water runs down let it dissolve your frown This song is empowering I wrote it while showering And you can do anything 'Cause at some point you've been oppressed You can shampoo your cares away Condition your fears away Wash your regrets down the drain Scrub your skin clear This song is empowering I wrote it while showering And you can do anything 'Cause at some point you've been oppressed There’s a shampoo for every wound A face mask for every mood Though some people may be rude Towels will keep them subdued. So hair-dry those tears away Tomorrow is another day Your shower head will always spray You have the power so don’t dismay. This song is empowering I wrote it while showering And you can do anything 'Cause at some point you've been oppressed This song is empowering I wrote it while showering And you can do anything 'Cause at some point you've been oppressed

I was sittin’ in my chair Then I leaned back I leaned too far And now I’m bleeding on the floor I’ve got the headwound blues I’ve got the headwound blues There be blood all over the floor Oh baby it is the headwound blues There was 28 paramedics All squeezed in the room They all asked me my name And I told them ten times I’ve got the headwound blues I’ve got the headwound blues My blood pressure is risin’ Oh baby it is the headwound blues The room was gettin’ warm I was gettin’ hot They told me to keep cool But I was bleedin’ a lot I’ve got the headwound blues I’ve got the headwound blues And I got blood slicked in my hair Oh baby it’s the headwound blues My vision is gettin’ blurry My shirt’s covered in blood I ain’t sittin’ in that chair no more Cause I got to buy a new one Because of the headwound blues I’ve got the headwound blues There’s no more blood left to lose ‘Cause I’ve got the headwound blues

Last Night 02:32
Last night I walked by Your place And I found Nobody home What to do I said to myself Just wait and see You have the key But you knew The stories were true I’ve been wrong to you And now you’re gone! I’m all alone! Except for the tears that I weep until you come home! I walk the streets! I’m out in the cold! I’ll try all night to get you back with me! This night You came back To me And I found Tears in your eyes What to think I said to myself What could it be What did she do to me But you said “The stories were true I’ve been wrong to you”

Fishing Town 04:05
I’m moving to a fishing town With lots of docks gone down I promise I won’t act a clown So darling don’t you frown There’s lots of things to see Lots of places to be Don’t have to pay a fee So relax and drink your tea Next year you’ll still have me Yeah I’m moving to a fishing town With lots of docks gone down I promise I won’t be a clown So darling don’t you frown I’ll walk along the boardwalk See all the birds in a flock Listen to the boys that talk Darling, hope this isn’t a shock Someday I’ll come and knock Although I will miss it here Darling I’ll still be near Don’t you shed a tear Cause it’s only a year So I’m moving to a fishing town With lots of docks gone down I promise I won’t be a clown So darling don’t you frown I’ll make sure to catch some fish The kind meant for a dish This is my childhood wish Come on darling give me a kish You know it’s you I’ll miss So I’m moving to a fishing town With lots of docks gone down I promise I won’t be a clown So darling don’t you frown

It’s that time of year again Time to be with you, my friends Lots of cards I have to send There’s joy ringing in the wind I can see the falling snow The firelight’s still aglow These friendships we won’t outgrow Like we did all those years ago Do, do, do It's Christmas Time Do, do, do It's Christmas Time We’re all ‘round the Christmas tree Mike’s making a cup of tea John’s stroking his new goatee And Jimmy’s a guarantee The girl with whom we dine Is still doing fine We smell the holly and pine Near friends we won’t leave behind Do, do, do It's Christmas Time Do, do, do It's Christmas Time All of us here together In spite of the cold weather The snow’s falling white and clean We’ll be warm inside our dreams Do, do, do It's Christmas Time Do, do, do It's Christmas Time

about

Original Album Description (12/17/14):

This is the first official album by The Jimmys. Recorded over the course of three and a half months in the fall of 2014, and produced in a week, the album was their first album with solely original material. It contains music from a several different genres like rock, folk, and R&B.

12/14/19:

Well, it's 5 years later. Mixey Wixey is going to Kindergarten. The Jimmys are our of college and living life.
Since the release of Speed Dating earlier this year, the focus has been on remixing this album to be publicly distributed online. In essence, we wanted to create its final form.
Going back to the original files, tracks were balanced and drums realigned. We applied what we've learned over 5 years to our little nostalgic creation.
Mixey Wixey still stands as a testament to the group's chaos and creativity. We hope you have as much fun listening to this album as we have for the last half decade. Enjoy!

- John
