Hey girl in the cafeteria You don't know it but you're already mine Hey girl in the cafeteria We both come here each day to dine But I know it must be destiny Pulling me into the arms Of the girl in the cafeteria Yeah, the girl in the cafeteria We walk up to lunch And we always see you You come here every day And eat the same crappy food It might seem weird That we're following you But it all makes sense When I run into you Hey girl in the cafeteria You don't know it but you're already mine Hey girl in the cafeteria We both come here each day to dine But I know it must be destiny Pulling me into the arms Of the girl in the cafeteria Yeah, the girl in the cafeteria I see you smiling at me Across the room But for the moment I don't know what to do I wanna walk over one day And sit next to you But that's never gonna happen So this goes out to you Hey girl in the cafeteria You don't know it but you're already mine Hey girl in the cafeteria We both come here each day to dine But I know it must be destiny Pulling me into the arms Of the girl in the cafeteria Yeah, the girl in the cafeteria And one day We’ll run into you And I’ll say Hey I like your shoes And then you will be Part of our group Hey girl in the cafeteria You don't know it but you're already mine Hey girl in the cafeteria We both come here each day to dine But I know it must be destiny Pulling me into the arms Of the girl in the cafeteria Yeah, the girl in the cafeteria

Dan the Quick was a boy who lived In Jericho, Vermont His Uncle Frank taught him to ride a horse And go anywhere he wants When Dan grew up he decided He'd be just like his Uncle Frank He'd hunt 'em down and save the town And they'd know just who to thank Dan was in love with a woman Who lived back in his hometown When Dan woke up one morning He decided he'd go down Dan went up to Bonnie's door And knocked on it three times When he saw she'd gone along with Jack He knew he'd been two-timed Dan was not a smart man But he always knew That he'd become a hero And he'd save me and you He fell in love with Bonnie And he made up his mind To ask her to come west with him And leave Vermont behind But Dan had competition In winning Bonnie's heart Another man named Jack Had gotten a head start That morning the two lovers Hand in hand, they headed west Then Dan came to me and asked me To join him on his quest Dan the Quick gave chase to bring His Bonnie back to him But Dan didn't count on being so Incompetently dim Before Dan got to Albany He'd lost the lovers' trail He walked into the nearest saloon To have a sip of ale Dan was five or six drinks in Andres, three or four Then Dan spotted Bonnie and Jack Ridin' by outside the door Dan stormed out and looked around And he let out a roar Andres stayed to pick up the tab And order just one more Me and Dan, we saddled up And rode all through the night But we never caught up with them Trying as we might We were too drunk to find them Too drunk to ride But Dan refused to stop and rest For he had too much pride In the morning Dan was tired I told him they were gone He just sat there in silence And then let out a yawn We soon set down and made camp To catch up on some sleep When we woke up, we were surrounded By a herd of sheep Dan the Quick got to his feet And took a look around In the distance was a man Jack had just been found Jack made no move to grab his gun So Dan yelled out to him “Give me back my Bonnie Or I’ll tear you limb from limb” Getting no response from Jack Dan prepared to have a duel After this no one would say That Dan was such a fool He drew his gun and fired a shot At Bonnie’s kidnapper Dan took a bullet to his chest His cowboy days were over Dan was not a smart man But he always knew That he would die a hero And he’d save me and you He fell in love with Bonnie And he made up his mind That he would always be with her He’d not get left behind He woke up with a hangover We’d slept out on a farm And when he saw a scarecrow He thought it meant him harm He fired a shot which ricocheted And brought him to the ground It killed the greatest hero That I have ever found

Hey man have you heard the noise? That’s coming through the wall I think it is great that he’s learning to play But I can’t sleep at all I got to go and talk to him Or else I think I’ll lose my mind Just when I went to knock on his door That’s when I heard a knock on mine (And he said) Hey dude I know You just got that guitar But I think you’re taking it Just a bit too far I’m hearing music All night and day Nothing I try Will make it go away You mean to tell me that it isn’t you Who’s been playing that guitar That sounds been coming through your wall So if not this is too bizarre If it isn’t you and it isn’t me Then it is something in between We put a hole in the wall and took a look inside And man was it a scene Inside the wall Just playing on its own Was a guitar With such a killer tone We picked it up And laid it on the bed We just sat back And watched the thing shred It played some Kiss to finish off the set Then it was quiet for a while I picked it up to play some Zep That guitar was just my style I sang that all that glitters is gold But all of a sudden things went wrong It took control and it started to play A song that came on way too strong Give me handouts or give me death This song is going to make me go deaf But if I go deaf it’ll be a relief Then I won’t hear its demonic motif Hey man, have you heard the noise? It’s worse than it was before We’ve got to get rid of that thing Before it takes us all on tour I’m gonna go and smash the guitar Because it’s driving me up the wall I picked it up and I threw it down I was glad to see it fall But though it broke, it continued to play And we still hear it to this very day We’re hearing music all night and day Nothing we’ve tried can make it go away The thing is making us go insane We’ve all got music on the brain Someone please help us, please lift this curse Because it can't get much worse

Disposable 02:45
Men are disposable Real and compostable Trash bagged and portable But easily forgettable Can’t be irrational Never emotional Any time night or day I don’t want to feel this way And don’t tell them that they are wrong And don’t tell them that they don’t belong But don’t let them sing their song But don’t ask them to come along He can be intellectual But at times ineffectual Always makes the same mistake He’s never gonna get a break Never too responsible Always changeable Completely incapable Of understanding why Men are disposable Real and compostable Trash bagged and portable But easily forgettable Can’t be irrational Never emotional Any time night or day I don’t want to feel this way And don’t tell them that they are wrong And don’t tell them that they don’t belong But you can’t live if they are gone Just you see, it won’t be long.

I was gunned down in my country I was gunned down in my home I was gunned down for the hungry I was gunned down for my lord I was gunned down when I stood up For what I thought was right But they won’t gun all of you down ‘Cause we can win this fight One day I was a soldier One day I was on the ground One day I fought for freedom No one pushed me around Now we're all a little bit older Now we're all lost and found But we made it through in one piece Lived to fight another round They say freedom don't come easy They say freedom don't come quick But what if what they say is freedom Is enough to make you sick? Well think a little bit deeply Well think and take your pick Well I don’t know about you But peace is what I’ll pick Don't ever take from others Don't let others take from you Don’t let anybody tell you What you need to do If you do you'll lose your brothers If you do you won’t get through If you don’t stick together In the end they’ll get you too So give us back our freedom Give us back our freedom now Give us back our freedom We’re not fooling around Give us back our freedom Before I am gunned down Give us back our freedom I want my freedom right here now I was gunned down in my country I was gunned down in my home I was gunned down for the hungry I was gunned down for my lord I was gunned down when I stood up For what I thought was right But they won’t gun all of you down ‘Cause we can win this fight

Leatherman 03:50
I worked for the father of the girl I loved Selling leather to the Paris shops One day I bought a huge shipment and the price was a steal But the next day the market just dropped Now I’m out of a job and I’m out of a house And her father told me “go to hell” So I took the next ship to the USA So I could stay with some relations there They call me the Leather Man Woah I’m the Leather Man I sleep in my caves and I do what I please Yeah I’m the Leather Man I ask nothing from you but a fresh loaf of bread And they all come to see me when I come around Cause I’m the Leather Man Woah I’m the Leather Man Now my grandpa was an Indian he taught me a lot How to live off the land all alone He told me I should get my life back in check That I should find a place to call my own My grandfather died when the summer came by And again I was on my own I ended up in Connecticut and there I’ll stay That’s where I’ll make my home They call me the Leather Man Woah I’m the Leather Man I sleep in my caves and I do what I please Yeah I’m the Leather Man I ask nothing from you but a fresh loaf of bread And they all come to see me when I come around Cause I’m the Leather Man Woah I’m the Leather Man I’ve finally got my life under control I’ve got a cave for my home and a fire to stay warm I make my way ‘cross the land a month at a time The same route till the end of my days And the people they all love me They give me bread and they tell me stories But I’ll never let them get through to me ‘Cause in the end I’m still alone They call me the Leather Man Woah I’m the Leather Man I sleep in my caves and I do what I please Yeah I’m the Leather Man I ask nothing from you but a fresh loaf of bread And they all come to see me when I come around Cause I’m the Leather Man Woah I’m the Leather Man One day the Leather Man was late into town And the people they started to worry He made it into town lookin’ sick as a dog But still he continued on He never made it to the next town And the people went after him They found him lying dead in his big heavy suit It was the last of the Leather Man They called him the Leather Man Woah he was the Leather Man He slept in his caves and he did what he pleased He was the Leather Man He asked nothing from them but a fresh loaf of bread And they all came to see him when he came around He was the Leather Man Yeah, he was the Leather Man

Get up, brush you teeth, comb you hair pull your pants up tight Read the news, wonder why we’re fallin’ behind Start the car, go to work, get there on time Sit and stare at the wall like you’re not alive You may not like it But you have to deal with it Though you don’t agree with it ‘Cause that’s the way it’s got to be Sit up, twirl your pen, sort some files and you do it right You work 9 to 5 At your desk all night Then you go to the bar to forget it all Then you rinse and repeat do it all again You may not like it But you have to deal with it Though you don’t agree with it ‘Cause that’s the way it’s got to be You’ve got all this debt that one day you will have to repay Go to school half your life just to find you can’t Get a job ‘til you get experience Now you’re down 80 grand that you’ll never get back You may not like it But you have to deal with it Though you don’t agree with it ‘Cause that’s the way it’s got to be Get up, brush you teeth, comb you hair pull your pants up tight Read the news, wonder why we’re fallin’ behind Start the car, go to work get there on time Sit and stare at the wall like you aren’t alive

Relax little sister Relax ma and pa Relax my brother I’m going to the box I just got a date Late Friday night Told her to be ready By a quarter to nine Said we’re going to the burger box It’s a real good joint They got shakes and cola And some real good gigs Down at the Box, box, burger box Well we danced, danced and danced And we held each others’ hands As we listened to the band Hey Girl in the Cafeteria You don't know it but you're already mine Well I took her home I asked her how she felt She said “I’ve never been To a place like that before” I told her not to worry “Everyone feels like that on their first trip to the Burger Box joint.” Then we said good night And she gave me a kiss It’s been 20 since then Rock n’ Roll is dead We’ve grown up and moved away And the Burger Box torn down We used to dance to Berry Buddy Holly and Bing Now we dance to Bowie The Ramones and Elton John But I’ll never forget Those amazing nights Under the neon Of the Burger Box lights

Before the age of the choo choo train When the people moved themselves from place to place The sky was clear the earth untouched Before the age of the choo-choo train The fire within man's heart drew him To build his trains, explore the land Time moved fast the land grew small In the age of the choo-choo train It became a game, the choo choo train Who could find a way to the new frontier With each iron spike the trains rolled on Through the age of the choo-choo train With each ticket bought, new tracks were laid To every corner of the country The smoke poured out across the sky During the age of the choo-choo train The trains can take us anywhere we want But we can’t go back to the way things were Before the age of the choo-choo train All aboard the choo-choo train

about

This is The Jimmys' second studio album, originally released in 2015. Following the multi-genred Mixey Wixey, it shows a shift in the compositional style towards a folk-rock sound that persisted into their self-titled album.

These thirteen tracks will take you on a road delving into whimsical narratives and powerful topics, like finding guitars in walls and dancing in the moonlight (to avoid sun burns) all the way to the struggles of the American work life.

Let The Jimmys take you to another time and place, with some laughs along the way.

This album is a remix of the original 2015 album.
