lyrics

Hey man have you heard the noise?
That’s coming through the wall
I think it is great that he’s learning to play
But I can’t sleep at all

I got to go and talk to him
Or else I think I’ll lose my mind
Just when I went to knock on his door
That’s when I heard a knock on mine

(And he said) Hey dude I know
You just got that guitar
But I think you’re taking it
Just a bit too far

I’m hearing music
All night and day
Nothing I try
Will make it go away

You mean to tell me that it isn’t you
Who’s been playing that guitar
That sounds been coming through your wall
So if not this is too bizarre

If it isn’t you and it isn’t me
Then it is something in between
We put a hole in the wall and took a look inside
And man was it a scene

Inside the wall
Just playing on its own
Was a guitar
With such a killer tone

We picked it up
And laid it on the bed
We just sat back
And watched the thing shred

It played some Kiss to finish off the set
Then it was quiet for a while
I picked it up to play some Zep
That guitar was just my style

I sang that all that glitters is gold
But all of a sudden things went wrong
It took control and it started to play
A song that came on way too strong

Give me handouts or give me death
This song is going to make me go deaf
But if I go deaf it’ll be a relief
Then I won’t hear its demonic motif

Hey man, have you heard the noise?
It’s worse than it was before
We’ve got to get rid of that thing
Before it takes us all on tour

I’m gonna go and smash the guitar
Because it’s driving me up the wall
I picked it up and I threw it down
I was glad to see it fall

But though it broke, it continued to play
And we still hear it to this very day
We’re hearing music all night and day
Nothing we’ve tried can make it go away

The thing is making us go insane
We’ve all got music on the brain
Someone please help us, please lift this curse
Because it can't get much worse
