This is a song John McGovern had begun writing during the making of "Mixey Wixey," though never did much with it due to lack of completeness. It features much influence from The Kinks' "Soap Opera," signifying the beginning of the band's influence on McGovern's writing. When John showed Claire Roche, they worked on it together to make it what it is today: a powerful rocker that builds until the end.
